Episode 1

Berlin, April 1929: Cologne police lieutenant Gereon Rath joins his colleague Bruno Wolter in the investigation against a porn ring in Berlin. After a raid his case turns into a new direction after stumbling over a photograph. He meets the stenographer Charlotte Ritter who feeds her family with work for the police. In a heist on a freight train russian revolutionaries append a wagon with explosive content to be smuggled to Berlin.

Kardakov flees after the Soviet attack on The Red Fortress. Rath receives an uninvited guest in his apartment.

Rath hits an unexpected snag while investigating the Benda case, and later tracks down the movie set gaffer. Charlotte is visited by her older sister.

Rath brings Moritz to the castle. Charlotte tells a lawyer about the deaths among street children and Goldstein takes drastic measures.

As Rath takes part in a risky experiment, a brutal gang war breaks out in Berlin. Widow Behnke tries to help Katelbach and Toni finds herself in danger.

Episode 8

As Widow Behnke kicks off her high stakes rescue plan, Stennes instigates a hall battle in the 'Moka Efti' and Charlotte makes a secret observation.

Episode 9

While Malu Seegers and Dr Völcker pursue a deadly plan, Charlotte makes a terrible discovery and Helga tries to escape from her kidnappers.

Episode 10

Despite Gennat's doubts, Rath organises a meeting with all of the wrestling club bosses. Malu rethinks her plan and Esther looks for work as a musician.

Episode 11

Rath is celebrated for his supposed coup and Charlotte meets a boxer. Stennes plots a coup against Hitler while Goldstein learns the truth about the diamond.

Episode 12

The SA and SS face each other in the Stennes Putsch. Wendt wants the police to intervene, Toni meets an ally and it's not just Goldstein who travels to the USA in a zeppelin.
