Jon and Ponch are chasing thieves who steal luxury cars. Ponch has problems with Sgt. Getraer and can't do anything right by him. The thieves are using moving vans with stolen licence plates, so the chippies can't get them first. Nice scene: Ponch and his sticky ticket.

Undertow

A woman gets robbed by a tow truck driver and then he causes an accident. A chemical substance is spilled on the highway. Ponch gets intoxicated by the stuff. Jon has to get him to a hospital but Ponch is not very cooperative

Dog Gone

Ponch and Jon are chasing a dog which causes an accident. They bring it to Central and hide it in a truck. Some guys do sabotage on Jon's motorbike, but they wanted Ponch's. Jon and Ponch stop a motorbike driver who has frozen up. After they stop him he wanders off muttering how he never wants to ride it again. Jon and Ponch chase down a speeding car with a heart attack victim. They help to save him before an ambulance arrives. One of the boys who did sabotage to Jon's bike tells Getrear what they have done. The Sarge tries to warn Ponch , but Ponch realizes that they have done it to Jons motorbike. Jon falls off his bike but lukyliy he 's not even bruised. Finally the dog's owner shows up at CHP Central looking for his dog. Moving Violation

When Jon and Ponch stop a speeding car on the freeway, a very large man emerges from the vehicle. The raging driver proceeds to take his car apart and wouldn't mind doing the same to Ponch who has made the mistake of laughing during the demolition. Later, Ponch himself gets a ticket, and to keep his driving record clean, enrolls in a driving safety course. There he meets people he's given tickets. The Sarge calls Jon to go to a woman whose husband died by an accident on this morning. Jon is nearly crying when the little son takes him for his daddy.

Career Day

Ponch is giving a ticket to his old high school principal who asked him to tell about the CHP in his old school on career day. Jon and Ponch respond to a call about a traffic jam, they find that everyone's gawking at models nearby. Since Ponch's motorcycle needs repairs, Getraer sticks him on the front desk. When the helicopter pilot comes, Ponch jumps at the chance to leave. In the helicopter he helps Jon to find a lost boy and two elusive burglars. Later that afternoon as then Ponch gives his speech, he freezes up and Jon helps him by telling about saving the kid. Then Ponch wakes up and starts telling exaggerated stories without help.

Baby Food

A truck loses toxic baby food on the highway. A tramp pair with a baby finds two boxes. Ponch and Jon try to find the lost boxes. Ponch is interested in his neighbor Melinda, but Melinda falls in a love with Jon. On the highway Jon and Ponch save a dog out of a burning car. When they find the tramp family they save the baby by taking it on their motorbikes.

Taking Its Toll

When two thieves escape from Jon after a successful robbery at a toll booth, it is the start of a crime wave and a massive manhunt. Jon and Ponch later encounter a crashed limo with a time bomb on its back seat - and a man trapped beneath the car. Jon is writing a book about Ponch's funny accidents. When Ponch finds that out, Jon changes and depicts him as a heroic, modern day warrior.

Green Thumb Burglar

Jon and Ponch learn that Sgt. Getraer love plants very much. He is very angry about thieves who steal plants from public places. Ponch meets twins who give him a short look in his future this day. It's not looking good for him.

Hustle

Always looking for opportunities to make money, Ponch discovers that Jon once worked as an instructor in a bowling alley and still is a great bowler. Keeping Jon's secret from the other CHiPs, Ponch places a series of bets that his partner will defeat all favorites in an upcoming police bowling tournament. As the officers approach a car that went through a stop sign, they get a surprise. The driver is actor Broderick Crawford, who starred as Dan Mathews in Highway Patrol, the hit 1950s series that could be called the ancestor of CHiPs.

Highway Robbery

Jon and Ponch arrest a thief who uses a motorcycle to rob drivers in traffic jams. When Jon recognizes the prisoner as a high-school classmate, a former football hero, he offers him help. Ponch has a crush on the beautiful model for a sun lotion ad campaign. Mesmerized by her pictures on highway billboards, he's determined to date the girl. Learning that Sgt. Getraer knows the model and her family, Ponch attempts to convince Getraer to arrange a date with his dream girl. He really gets an abrupt surprise when he meets Janey.

Name Your Price

Rolls-Royces are being stolen. Grossie, Baricza, Jon and Ponch are catching chickens which have escaped out of a crashed truck. Ponch is a contestant on the game show 'Name Your Price'. A car is run off the road by a Porsche, inside a man is trapped who happens to be diabetic...

Aweigh We Go

A car pulling a trailer with a boat swerves to avoid an oncoming car and smashes into a hair salon. Ponch has his mind set on buying the boat together with Jon. Being short on personnel, Jon and Ponch are assigned to the weigh station A car has gone over a cliff with a woman and her little girl inside.

One Two Many

CHP officers usually ride in pairs, but this day Ponch leaves Jon to handle an emergency. While Jon is alone, an officer pulls up to a car and acts improperly, so frightening the female driver that she causes a traffic accident as she speeds away. As the Highway Patrol searches for for the unknown officer, Jon learns that the mystery man is apparently his double - and that his career is in jeopardy as long as the phony remains at large.

Rustling

Thinking that it is Jon's birthday soon, Ponch plans a surprise birthday party for him. A cattle owner is stealing his own cattle in order to rip off the assurance agency. A magician is showing some tricks when he and his daughter are pulled over for running through a red light. A young girl is trapped in her car when a drunk driver runs her off the road.

Surf's Up

A speeding 3 wheeler motorbike goes past Jon and Ponch, who give chase. Jon and Ponch get sent to Malibu when they ask for a change of scenery. 3 men are car stripping in Malibu. Ponch and Jon go to the beach while they take time off work.

Vintage '54

A baby is left behind in a parking area. A female sky diver nearly lands on the highway when her parachute is stuck on the bridge above. Mrs. Downey's car has been stolen. A dumpster gets unhitched from its garbage van and runs freely down the freeway

Hitch-Hiking Hitch

Two girls are found by Jon and Ponch while hitch-hiking. One blames the other for being there and doing this, but Ponch and Jon learn that this is not true. Later they have to save them out of a dangerous situation.

Cry Wolf

A rash of false alarms ties up CHP, fire engines, and ambulances. A young man who is living by his sister does this.

Crash Diet

Jon and Ponch gently try to coax a disturbed veteran out of throwing dirt at passing autos. Also, Getraer orders his officers to peel off excess pounds.

Rainy Day

Jon and Ponch are to patrol in a police cruiser as it's raining hard. A man gets thrown out of a gambling camper. Another man is driving down the highway, holding an umbrella out the window. A schoolteacher is allowed to take her little students to Central where they'll be given a tour by Ponch.

Crack-Up

Jon and Grossie are hurt giving chase to a speeding Trans Am. They both end up in the hospital. Ponch is teamed up with Getraer untill Jon is fully recovered and out of the hospital.

Flashback!

A rookie, Brent Delaney, fresh out of motorschool is not very liked by his fellow patrolmen. 2 men are stealing police motorbikes. A man being pulled over with a dangerous hitch-hiker. 2 young girls accidentally drive into a swimming pool.

Peaks and Valleys

Central gets a new mechanic, Harlan Arliss. Ponch and Jon are accused of improperly moving an accident victim. Jon meets an old friend who tries to convince him that there are better jobs out there than CHP officers.

The Volunteers

Jon and Ponch must take on the dangerous assignment of escorting a convoy of trucks carrying hazardous chlorine gas.

Family Crisis

Jon's nephew starts stealing cars with some friends. Ponch moves into a new apartment. A movie car, designed with special features, is used for robbing banks. The CHP has a hard time catching it.

Disaster Squad

A television news crew - the Disaster Squad - edit a report to make it look as though Ponch had threatened them with violence. However, the reporter is forced to confess all during a later report when Jon and Ponch rescue a child from a river.

Neighborhood Watch

Ponch and Jon have their hands full trying to deal with a persistent dangerous driver and a group of delinquent kids.

Trick or Trick

Ponch and Jon find themselves having to deal with a bewildering array of petty thefts and false alarms when on patrol during Halloween.

High Flyer

Jon and Ponch attempt to catch a gang of thieves who have been stripping car parts from parked vehicles. And Ponch fakes illness in order to conceal his fear of flying.

The Grudge

After arresting some frat brothers for cannabis possession, Ponch and Jon find themselves targets of a vendetta by the disgruntled students.

Jon and Ponch pull over a speeding motorist who claims to have diplomatic immunity. When they subsequently accept an invitation to a party, they find themselves being offered bribes by their host.

After having trouble on the highway and wiping out a number of vehicles, terror becomes a game of highway bumper cars.

Supercycle

Jon and Ponch pursue the Phantom - a motorcyclist who has been performing illegal stunts on the freeway using a souped-up superbike.

Jon and Ponch sort out an accident caused by a misguided youth with a pellet gun. And an ambulance driver steals a van and fills it with dynamite after being fired from his job.

Down Time

Ponch is proud, his new build Firebird is a lovely car. He also gets a new neighbor, Kim. This woman is weird, she is very friendly to Ponch 'till she learns he's an officer. One day Ponch's Firebird is stolen. Ponch is very sad but he also checks Kim out. Later his car is burned down from Kim, who belongs to a group of female car thieves.

Repo Man

A ruthless collection agent plots to destroy Jon's and Ponch's credit ratings after they prevent him from harassing private citizens.

MAIT Team

Jon and Ponch investigate when Sindy is blamed for a major accident which leaves her unconscious and 11 people dead.

Pressure Point

Jon and Ponch are assigned to protect a VIP and his daughter.

The Matchmakers

Cora is sad, in a few days she will lose her home to a building company. She has no idea where to go with her animals. So she decides to commit suicide and drives her car into a lake. Jon and Ponch and Sindy try to help her after hearing her story. Officer Derk only has one week before going on pension so he starts some crazy actions and Sgt. Getraer isn't very pleased about that. A private investigator tries two times to kidnap a little girl from her mother. Derk, Jon and Ponch can frustrate his plans. After a few days Jon and Ponch get the idea to bring Derk and Cora together. And their plan works. Cora and Derk become a couple. Derk allows her to bring all her animals with her.

Rally 'Round the Bank

A series of robberies at drive-in bank windows is frustrating the CHP - especially Jon and Ponch, who unsuccessfully chased the bandit's car three times. The thieves have joined a 150-car road rally that enables their vehicles to elude the police. Meanwhile, Ponch gets a surprise visit from his mom, who refuses to tell him the reason for her trip.

Bio-Rhythms

Sindy has a new study project. She creates Bio Rythms for all officers. Robbie Davis (known from The Volunteers) is in trouble again. Someone attacks her trucks and the drivers lives. Jon and especially Ponch try to help.

Quarantine

Central HQ has to be quarantined after a boy is brought in suffering from a mysterious disease. Two crazy criminals are bringing trouble, too. The other officers investigate the past of the boy and find a puzzle piece in his ""bomb"". We learn that Grossie is learning Russian.

CHP-BMX

Jon and Sindy are training a BMX team for kids. Ponch takes care for a young boy who vandalizes his school. He wants to see him on the BMX team. The sergeant's son has a bad accident, Joe feels guilty for that. It confuses him so much that he makes bad mistakes at work.

Ride the Whirlwind

Sindy, Jon and Ponch go in search of some outlaw bikers.

A sustained superior special achievement award for the guys has fellow CHPers remembering Ponch and Jon's exploits, as flashbacks recount the coolest cases of Seasons One and Two.

A couple of gasoline smugglers steal gasoline from different stations using a gas truck they suck the gas in instead of delivering it. The C.H.P gang play roller hockey.

Death Watch

After a fellow officer is killed, Ponch and Jon investigate a crooked stuntman who has been causing accidents as part of an insurance scam.

Counterfeit

Ponch finds out about a counterfeiting scam run by a bogus preacher when he gets hold of some fake money.

The Return of the Supercycle

Ponch and Jon encounter a hotshot cyclist who evades them after stealing. Ponch takes a bad fall while trying to avoid a semi and is hospitalized; a supercycle event has come to town, and the officers attempt to figure out who the culprit is. Devising a scheme for an interview with one of the cyclists, the CHiPs catch the culprit, an affiliate of the star of the supercycle show, by using a special-issue bike that can keep up with the cyclist.

Hot Wheels

While Ponch is in hospital, Jon and a new partner investigate several thefts involving city vehicles.

Drive, Lady, Drive (1)

Ponch and Jon become involved in the case of a young girl whose parents are nowhere to be found. Candi, a racing driver, takes her to the racetrack - with dramatic consequences.

Candi tries to help the young girl who is unhappy at her foster home. Ponch and Jon move in on the crooks that they have been watching.

A bell is stolen from a church. The Sunday school children are very sad about this. Ponch gets a visit from his mother. The officers have much to laugh at as a few drunken guys want to buy gas at the Central.

Jon and Ponch are found guilty of contempt when they refuse to name an informant in court. Of course they meet criminals who were arrested by the officers.

E.M.T.

The instructor for an EMT course recognizes pupils Jon and Ponch as the officers who gave him a ticket the day before.

Kidnap

Two criminals escape from custody and steal a Rolls-Royce - complete with two children in the back seat . They have to learn that the children are very smart and clever. A "Lacho Caracha" helps Ponch finding the kids.

Off Road

Jon and Ponch enter a desert off-road race, unaware that a pair of thugs are using the race as a cover to retrieve a cache of stolen coins.

Tow Truck Lady

When a tow truck driver is suspected of stealing cars to make ends meet, Jon and Ponch enlist the help of the driver's daughter .

The Strippers

Jon and Ponch attempt to trap a gang of car strippers with drug smuggling connections.

Thrill Show

Robbers posing as tourists ride on tourist buses and while the bus is mobile they draw weapons and demand anything of value from all the tourists. Bonnie considers leaving the force to join a stunt show which is in town, while Jon and Ponch are on the trail of the gang who are robbing buses .
